A state
level championship for quiz was arranged in state of
Maharashtra. This was conceived by then Station Director of All India Radio
Mumbai Shri Lakshamendra chopda DDG(P). Being a chairman of
co-ordination committee meeting he planned this activity. This event
took place probably for the first time in this state. The quiz competition
began at 12 participating AIR stations, in which 96 schools took part. The
quarter final was held at AIR Nagpur and the semi final at AIR Pune. The
final competition held at AIR Mumbai. We are proud that the New
English School, Ramanbaag, Pune became finalist. The total program was
broadcast by all AIR stations of Maharashtra in serialized manner.
It was brand sponsored by LIC, who issued the trophy to the finalist
of this state level quiz.
AIR pune
in its auditorium organised a small function on 12.12.12.The winners Gurav
Barve, Parth Kasshap and Shatanu Sanas along with their teacher were invited.
The trophy was handed over to them in presence of audience by station head
Shri. Ashish Bhatnager DDG {E}. Programme Head Shri. Ravindra Khasnis briefed
the audience regarding competition and praised the winners.
